Creative Manifesto

I chose weaving as a way of expressing myself. Each piece is a dialogue with the material, with the present moment, and carries with it a connection to something spiritual. There is a part that is organised and planned, but when I begin to create, what matters is what unfolds — much like travelling, where there may be an initial plan, but once you arrive, everything opens up and makes space for the unexpected.

My art is born from a fascination with the world around me — the architecture of landscapes and spaces, the living geometry of nature, the subtle beauty of everyday life, and the warmth of human connection. Everything that moves and inspires me finds its way to the loom, becoming a tactile record of my existence, like pages in a diary made of threads.

Technique and the structure of the loom provide the framework, but it is intuition in the moment that guides the work. I allow the weaving itself to show me where it wants to go: in my more artistic pieces, where I bring different techniques together; and in my scarves, where the choice of colours, the balance of each tone, and the rhythm and counting of the threads are felt and decided in the moment.

Weaving is my way of communicating with others. I believe beauty can be a generous bridge between people — a meeting point for sharing sensitivity, comfort, and the way I see and experience the world.
